Our Story: From Humble Beginnings to Trusted Experts
Hi there-we're Braiden and Kaylee Smith, the proud founders of KB Painting & Refinishing. Our journey began during one of the most challenging periods of our lives. In 2019, I lost my corporate job just as Kaylee was nine months pregnant with our first child. It was a time of uncertainty, but instead of giving in to fear, we decided to take a leap of faith. Kaylee had recently refinished a desk for my home office, and we posted it for sale on Facebook Marketplace. To our amazement, it sold in hours, and just like that, KB Custom Creations was born.
What started as furniture refinishing in our garage quickly grew into something bigger. During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when new furniture was delayed and people wanted to revamp their homes, demand for our services skyrocketed. With determination and hard work, we expanded from furniture refinishing to offering full-scale painting and cabinet refinishing services.
